A schoolgirl who ate just toast and crisps for almost a decade has finally tucked into her first cooked meal - thanks to hypnotherapy.

Martha Davies, 10, developed her phobia of food as a toddler and would gag whenever she tried a cooked meal. She even refused Christmas dinner - instead eating two slices of toast and sipping a glass of water.

Mum Julie, 43, spent a small fortune on bread and crisps and her worried parents feared for their daughter’s health. So they turned to a hypnotherapist in a bid to end Martha’s fear of food, known as Neophobia.

Incredibly, David Kilmurry “cured” Martha after one two-hour session. She immediately began tucking into fruit and veg and even tried her first hot meal - a pizza.
