Russell kicked off his Mercedes career with an impressive fourth place finish behind new teammate seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.One person who will no doubt be alongside the Englishman as he looks to secure success throughout the campaign is his girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt.
The pair made their relationship official back in 2020, two years on from Russell’s split with Seychelle de Vries - the sister of his former Mercedes academy teammate and F2 rival Nyck de Vries.Unlike his ex de Vries, current partner Montero Mundt doesn’t have a link to the racing world and their relationship is often kept private by the new Mercedes man.Russell himself very rarely discusses his love life with his partner, however she has been pictured alongside the F1 star at a number of his races on the circuit.
Most notably she appeared across Williams’ social media channels when celebrating at last season’s Hungarian Grand Prix with the Englishman.Montero Mundt attended University of Westminster as a student, where she studied for a degree in business management and finance.
