Gael Clichy has admitted that Arsenal used to crumble under the pressure during Arsene Wenger's reign. The legendary Gunners boss led the club from 1996 to 2018, becoming their most successful manager in the process.
Affectionately nicknamed Le Professeur, Wenger won seven FA Cups and three Premier League titles. However, in his latter years in charge, criticisms were levelled at the Frenchman for the apparent lack of spine in the team.
On several occasions, the pressure would get to Arsenal and they would falter. Perhaps most famously was their loss to Barcelona in 2006 when they were 1-0 up with 15 minutes to go and ended up losing 2-1.
