Ashley Cole says he has no regrets over his acrimonious Arsenal exit which saw him become a hate figure at the club. The Gunners reneged on an agreed contract offer, reducing Cole's potential weekly earnings by £5000.
The left-back was furious and famously wrote in his autobiography that he 'nearly swerved off the road' when he agent gave him the news.
Chelsea were the beneficiaries of the breakdown in relations, snapping him up in exchange for William Gallas and cash. The saga irreparably soured Cole's relationship with Gunners fans, who dubbed him 'Cashley', but he says he would not have actly differently knowing what he knows now.
