Ashley Cole has admitted he was "too stubborn" during his controversial transfer to Chelsea in 2006, but insists he did not leave boyhood club Arsenal for money.
The former England left-back was at the centre of a year-long transfer saga after he was initially found guilty of being tapped-up by the Blues in June 2005.
Cole claimed that he was "fed to the sharks" by Arsenal over the incident before eventually moving to Stamford Bridge and being awarded with a bumper contract in August 2006.
The saga irreparably soured Cole's relationship with Gunners fans, who dubbed him 'Cashley', and he acknowledges that his behaviour was "a little bit baby-ish".
