Amir Khan against Kell Brook is not the fight it would have been eight years ago.But I will certainly be tuning in to watch it.

I’m a boxing fan and anyone in the sport who says they’re not interested aren’t really being truthful.I’ve got no problem with guys - providing they’re fit and able to box - in earning money and this fight will earn them both plenty.

But let’s not get carried away - this is a fight between two fighters who have seen better days. The bout is going to be about how has deteriorated the most and whoever has regressed less will win.

If Khan’s chin stands up and he still has his legs, then I fancy him to win.Brook has had the toughest defeats in my view and he will always have in the back of his mind that he has fractured two eye sockets before.I would lean towards Khan in this fight but anything can happen when you have two boxers beyond their best.We promoted both of them earlier in their careers and they were very talented fighters.Khan suffered that shock defeat by Breidis Prescott - a fight I told his team not to take and I foolishly eventually allowed them to do it.But I picked three great fights for him to come back with as he beat Oisin Fagan and then outboxed old master Marco Antonio Barrera before winning his first world title against Andriy Kotelnik. With Brook, he was an exceptional talent but between fights his discipline was so poor and he let his weight go up.He had his issues outside of the ring, too, but I worked very hard and got him into a mandatory position for a world title. Now they’re finally set to meet in the ring and settle their differences.I just hope the winner and loser sails off into the sunset and calls it a day.Neither of them are going to win world titles again so they.
