A former government worker who attacked a barman, threatened customers then spat at a police officer during an 'absolutely outrageous' incident inside a cafe bar has avoided jail.The aftermath of the violence - showing the moments after Nathan McIlroy was Tasered by police - was captured on camera and publicised at the time by the Manchester Evening News.

McIlroy, 32, walked into Fuel Cafe Bar on Wilmslow Road, Withington, on August 13 last year and began to 'behave strangely', a court was told.He engaged customers in conversation, which upset them, then put his arms around a barman.One witness, who was with a friend, said they felt 'uncomfortable and anxious'.
