Deborah McAndrew has complained about a "disgusting" smell lingering near her home. The Coronation Street star, who played Angie Freeman for four years in the 90s, said there hasn't been a day in the past six months where she hasn't had to wrinkle her nose over the foul stench.
The Environment Agency found two permit breaches at landfill near Newcastle, Silverdale and Keele, which are believed to have resulted in the smell.
Deborah took to Twitter in reply to local protest group Stop The Stink, writing: "The stink was strong this morning as I walked my dog.
