DENISE Welch has admitted she turned to alcohol to "numb the pain" of depression whilst juggling her hectic Coronation Street schedule.
Denise, 62, previously told how she had two nervous breakdowns while playing Natalie Horrocks on Corrie, and has battled clinical depression for 31 years.
The actress joined the cast of Coronation Street after starring in ITV drama series Soldier Soldier.
