Actress Denise Welch has battled clinical depression for 31 years. Now, to help others understand the cruel condition, the Loose Women star has written a moving account of life with what she calls her ­“Unwelcome Visitor”.

Denise made her name in Soldier, Soldier before joining Corrie as Natalie Horrocks in 1997. But her Visitor followed her to the Weatherfield cobbles, threatening to blight her career and happiness.
