Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona midfielder entered what could be the final stage of his career with a move from Stamford Bridge to Monaco in 2019, which became his fourth professional club.

The 33-year-old has now taken the time to look back at his career - and picked out particular players and occasions that he will never forget.

Fabregas has won two Premier League titles and well as La Liga - and also won the 2010 World Cup and both the 2008 and 2012 European Championships.

In an extended interview with Match of the Day's Top 10 podcast, Fabregas was asked who his toughest opponent was - and his answer will please Liverpool supporters.
