A football yob threw a punch towards a woman in shocking footage of violence after a match where police made a total of 11 arrests.The incident occurred outside a pub in the centre of Bolton on Saturday afternoon, following the 1-1 draw between Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic in League One.

Police later confirmed that they had made 11 arrests as part of an operation surrounding the match, with the two club sharing a long-running rivalry with each other.Footage of the brawl near The Anvil pub on Dorning Street in Bolton was uploaded to social media and shows the violence between fans.The 16-second clip begins with one man seen lying on his back on the floor as two others appear to approach him from behind.

At this point a woman wearing a hoodie rushes in to protect him, slapping one of the attackers as the man on the floor makes it to his feet.He is then seen being jumped from behind by a third attacker, who swings for him and wraps their arm around his neck, before the attacked man stumbles away.A bald man can then be seen hitting him, as the cameraman is heard shouting: "Oh, you d***." The woman rushes back in to aid him for a second time as a punch is swung in her direction.

She is able to hit the attacker twice before being pulled away.Another man can be heard in the background of the clip shouting: "Who the f*** are you?" Police can be seen approaching the incident around halfway through the clip, with a statement later confirming that a total of 11 arrests were made on Saturday.An official from Greater Manchester Police confirmed: “Officers were deployed as part of the proactive operation surrounding the Wigan vs.
