football manager who headbutted a lineswoman on the pitch has been sacked. The disgraceful incident occurred at half-time in the fixture between Brazilian minnows Desportivo Ferroviaria and Nova Venecia on Sunday afternoon.
After referee Arthur Gomes Rabelo blew his whistle to signal the end of the first half, Desportivo manager Rafael Soriano stormed onto the pitch to contest the decision.
Soriano began gesticulating at the referee and received a yellow card for his troubles. Lineswoman Marcielly Netto, who appears significantly shorter than the coach, attempted to separate him from Rabelo.
But Soriano lost his cool and headbutted the official square in the face.Netto stumbled backwards and clutched her nose as the referee gave the disgraced manager his marching orders.
