London.Police were called at 5:27pm on Saturday to reports of an injured man on Essex Road in Islington, the Met Police has confirmed.Officers found a man suffering from a stab wound and immediately provided first aid, the Mirror reports.
Despite their efforts, and that of the London Ambulance Service, the man, believed to be aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5.58pm.Social media reports indicated the victim may have been a local man who runs a florist in the area.
