Flight attendants and pilots say passengers should never wear flip flops on plane

But, one flight attendant has warned passengers never to go barefoot or wear flip-flops on a plane. Most of us wish people would put their bare feet away when in close proximity with us, but flight attendant Tony Kuna isn't talking about good manners.

Nor does he imply that going barefoot is disgusting due to the toilet floors being covered in urine - which another flight attendant has previously warned about.

Instead, Tony claims holidaymakers should wear sturdy shoes for safety reasons. He wrote on Quora: “During an emergency, all sorts of debris and unpleasant ground surfaces will block your way towards the exit, as well as outside the aircraft."“If your feet [aren’t] properly covered, you'll have a hard time making your way to safety."Imagine destroying your bare feet as your run down the aisle covered with broken glass, fires and metal shards.
