Firefighters tackled a large flat fire in Paisley last night.Emergency crews raced to the town's Underwood Road just after 5pm to reports of a blaze in a building. PAISLEY DAILY EXPRESS: Live news as it happens A number of people were evacuated from as police cordoned off the area.It's understood two people were forced on to the roof of the building before they could be rescued.A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: "We received a call to reports of a fire in a dwelling in Underwood Road, Paisley at around 5.09pm on Saturday, April 25."We mobilised four appliances and extinguished the fire."Firefighters stayed on scene to make the area safe."
