Jermain Defoe has spoken recently about the need to continue support for the protests that have been happening since the death of George Floyd back in May.
Speaking last month, he said: “In the Premier League players are taking a knee and I wondered if it would happen in Scotland.
I believe it will happen.“I hope when the season starts we will take a knee and be part of this powerful movement.“At the end of the day, black lives matter.
It is nice to see, black and white players, everyone is coming together." Now Defoe's Rangers team-mates have taken the knee in the Veolia Trophy in France.
