Pictures from the scene show a number of fire fighters and emergency service vehicles on Princess Street. Crews spent around 90 minutes at the scene and a thorough search was carried out, but no evidence that anyone was in the water was found.A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) spokesperson said: “At 22:15 on 4 December 2020 we attended a canal near Princess Street in Manchester City Centre."Personal items had been found on the canal towpath and Greater Manchester.
