Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho says he is open to staying at the club past his current contract, which expires next summer.
Fernandinho, 34, triggered a one-year extension to his contract this season after becoming a makeshift central defender in City's injury crisis earlier in the campaign.
Before that, there had been speculation that this season would be his last at the club, especially after the high-profile pursuit of Rodri in defensive midfield as Fernandinho's long-term successor.
A lot can change in a year, though, and Fernandinho has proved himself to still be a key part of Pep Guardiola's squad - so much so that the prospect of the Brazilian playing at the Etihad at 36-years-old is not out of the question.
