De Bruyne was one of the players linked with a move away from the club if the Blues were unsuccessful in their appeal against a two-year ban from European competition, but Patrick De Koster, who represents the City midfielder, insists that was never considered.
With City winning their appeal earlier this week players could commit to new deals instead, but De Bruyne has three years remaining on his existing contract and at 29 sees no immediate need to put pen to paper on an extension.
