A dad who brought home a tiny chocolate Labrador puppy said his family got to spend just 12 precious hours with her before she died.
Damian Burwitz had travelled to Birmingham from Biggleswade in Befordshire, with his wife Kelly, after they had spotted a puppy for sale online.
But when they arrived there was a mix-up and the dog had already been sold. Not wanting a wasted journey the parents searched online again to see if there were any other dogs in the area.
They found a pup on sale for £500 and made contact with the owner, who told them he wasn't allowed to keep the dog due to his landlord. Have you been a victim of dogfishing?
