A teenage girl also suffered a minor injury. The teacher was just wounded, but Selby remains in a critical condition in hospital.
The shooting came after teachers attempted to break up a fight involving Simpkins, with the incident being caught on camera.
Afterward, Simpkins fled before turning himself in to police who charged him with three counts of aggravated assault with a gun.He was released on Thursday after at least some of his $75,000 (£55,092) bail was paid.
