A warning has been issued after a fake Home Bargains Facebook group was exposed as a scam to steal people's personal details.

The fraudulent group uses Home Bargains' logo and has been trying to add Brits as friends by tempting them with made up competitions.

This page is not linked to Home Bargains, and Brits have been warned not to accept requests from it. But at least six people had been drawn in by its lies on Monday, and registered for the prizes.

Signs that the account isn't legitimate include its username, which was "Home-Bargains" rather than "Home Bargains" and that the page address included a personal name, rather than a business name.
