Formula One drivers have been stopped from donning clothing which bear slogans or messages while conducting official duties.
The censorship comes around certain parts of the Grand Prix weekends, such as during the podium ceremony and interviews. Ahead of the Russia Grand Prix this weekend, the move was expected following talks between the FIA, Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton.
The decision comes off the back of Brit champion Hamilton wearing a T-shirt at the last race in Tuscany.His top referenced the case of a woman killed by US police which read: "Arrest the cops who killed Breonna Taylor”.Hamilton, who has been very vocal in his support for the Black Lives Matter movement, wore the Breonna Taylor T-shirt at the official pre-race anti-racism.
