As costs continue to rise, people are willing to try anything to keep heat from escaping households, as well as cheaper ways to stay warm like extra insulation.
But one expert is "concerned" about some hacks that are doing the rounds, which he feels households should avoid as they are unsafe.
From causing health problems, to creating safety hazards, or being downright "nonsense", Jonathan Rolande, from House Buy Fast has said there are some tips which are not worth trying.
