Chris Sutton has labelled VAR a 'circus' that will continue to spiral on - with the Celtic legend also branding the referees in the SPFL as 'amateur' after another week of dubious decisions.
Celtic have asked for clarity on the controversial decision to rule Jota offside in their tie against Motherwell in midweek after the Portugal star's goal against Stevie Hammell's men was ruled out in contentious circumstances.
Fortunately for the Hoops, the strike didn't matter for much as they came away with a 2-1 win at Fir Park. Yet with decisions in other games also flooding the Scottish Premiership with multiple talking points, Celtic icon Sutton has refused to give the newfound technology any sparkling reviews.
Sutton has now ventured on another tirade by calling VAR 'a circus', 'utter chaos' and that the amateur tag he's bestowed upon whistlers should not be seens a slap in the face for the current group of officials.
