Premier League star Olivier Dacourt has called Kurt Zouma's cat-slapping actions "undefendable" but then went on to say "he hasn't killed anyone."The West Ham defender has faced a widespread public backlash after a video emerged of him slapping and kicking his pet cat.Hammers boss David Moyes has stood by Zouma and continued to select him for games while the RSPCA - which has confiscated the two animals - proceed with their investigation.

Ex-Newcastle, Leeds and France star Dacourt has given his opinion on his fellow countryman's actions while working for French broadcaster Canal.

He said: "I don’t want to defend what he did because it’s undefendable. But at the same time, it’s a cat. "He’s been condemned, he’s paid a fine, he’s lost his sponsors.

He hasn’t killed anyone. "He made a mistake, he paid for it but now he should continue to play football. "I don’t see so many people on social media defending wives or children who have been abused, or racist discrimination," he added.
