Chelsea.Abramovich confirmed earlier this month that he would be selling Chelsea after almost two decades as owner, although the process has been made harder due to sanctions imposed on him. However, he is not the only Russian owner of a European club to be cutting ties with their asset in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.Vitesse Arnhem owner Valeriy Oyf announced on Friday that he would be selling his shares in the club and stepping down from the board. In a statement published on the club's website, Oyf explained: "It does me much pain to leave Vitesse in this way, but in the current situation I am taking this difficult decision in the interest of the club, employees, supporters, sponsors and other stakeholders.”Oyf has been on the club's board since 2016 and became the majority shareholder two years later in 2018.Vitesse are also an affiliate club of Chelsea, a relationship formed under previous owner Aleksandr Chigirinsky, a friend of Abramovich.Chigirinsky owned Vitesse for five years between 2013 and 2018 before selling the club to Oyf.Should all Russian owners be forced to sell their clubs?
