Danilho Doekhi sparks Rangers transfer fight as PSV Eindhoven weigh up move for highly rated stopper

The Eredivise outfit have suffered a central defensive injury blow with Brazilian André Ramalho needing surgery.And, according to De Telegraaf, Doekhi has emerged as a potential candidate for PSV boss Roger Schmidt in his hunt for a replacement this month.
Former Holland Under-21 international Doekhi is a target for Ibrox boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst with the champions reportedly set to offer him a pre-contract.
They faced competition from Napoli but they have landed Manchester United’s Axel Tuanzebe on loan. That looked to have left Rangers and Dinamo Zagreb in a straight fight for the Rotterdam-born 23-year-old.But now the Dutch league leaders could join the race in a bid to keep the Vitesse Arnhem skipper in his homeland.Rangers are facing the prospect of key man Connor Goldson leaving Ibrox for nothing in the summer.The Premiership-winning defender has entered the final six months of his contract and is expected to attract suitors from south of the border.As well as Doekhi, Hearts centre-back John Souttar has emerged as an option to replace the Englishman.
