Hashem Abedi, 23, was found guilty of helping his younger sibling Salman commit the ISIS-inspired atrocity following a seven-week trial at the Old Bailey in London.
A jury found Abedi guilty on 22 counts of murder; one count of attempted murder concerning those who were injured but survived the blast; and conspiring with his brother to cause an explosion.
Cowardly Abedi refused to leave his cells to attend a sentencing hearing on Wednesday and Thursday. Justice Jeremy Baker said he did not have the legal power to ask prison officers to physically bring him into the dock.In his absence, families from across the country wept as they told heartbreaking stories of the loved ones they lost in the bombing, while others who survived gave painful.
