English Premier League suspended after clubs plunged into coronavirus chaos

The English Premier League has suspended the current season until until April 3rd after several first team squads were badly hit by the coronavirus pandemic.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was confirmed last night to have the virus which prompted an emergency league meeting this morning.

Since then it has emerged that Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi has also tested positive for the virus. And at least part of the first team squads at Everton, Watford and Bournemouth have been self-isolating, including Cherries goalkeeper and former Celtic man Artur Boruc.

Yesterday Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers said that three of his players had shown symptoms and were in self-isolation. And Manchester City player Benjamin Mendy is also staying away
