Arsenal are closing in on the signature of teenager George Lewis on a free transfer. The Norwegian winger has had a two-week trial with the Gunners and looks to have done enough to secure a contract.
He is available for nothing having left former club Tromso and was a guest at Arsenal when they beat West Ham 1-0 back in March, claims the Metro.
The north London side are in advanced talks with Lewis who has spent his recent career playing in Norway's lower leagues. Prior to that though he played at Portman Road with Ipswich.
Should the move go through he will team up with the club's U23s who are led by Steve Bould. Unlike Gabriel Martinelli and Matteo Guendouzi, Lewis will have to work his way into the first team picture.
