Ben Stokes has opened up on how Andrew Flintoff’s 2005 Ashes heroics helped him take the sport seriously. Stokes shone as England won their first World Cup last summer before impressing during the drawn Ashes series with Australia.Stokes has regularly been compared to Flintoff with both being all-rounders and having the ability to change a game in a moment.And the 29-year-old has opened up on how the iconic series 15 years ago really urged him to focus on cricket with Flintoff’s performances staying with him.“I took a real interest in cricket properly after the 05 Ashes,” Stokes said.
