Emmerdale star James Moore, who plays Charity Dingle’s long-lost son Ryan Stocks, looks completely different from his ITV soap character in one unearthed throwback snap.James, who joined Emmerdale in 2018, is instantly recognisable from his long brunette locks that flow way past his shoulders - and for his designer stubble to match. Both James and his character tend to opt for an emo style, with Ryan often seen sporting checked shirts and a backwards baseball cap in the Dales. And though that same sense of style was visible in the throwback snap, James managed to look completely different in one photo taken in 2009, in which his dark brown hair barely touched his neck as it fell over one eye.The star’s beard was also a lot shorter in the snap as he posed outside a house, framed by the yellow leaves of a nearby tree as he gazed into the camera lens.Only a red-and-black checked jacket over a pink t-shirt clued fans in to the fact that it was the same James they knew from Emmerdale.Taking to Twitter, James contrasted his 2009 throwback to a more recent picture taken in 2019, in which he could be seen playing crazy golf with his nearly waist-length hair on full display, cap back in place as he leaned on a golf club and cheekily posed with one finger by his mouth. He captioned the snap: “2009 vs 2019.
