Johnstone after a train and a car collided. The early-morning incident took place at Janefield Avenue around 6.26am.Nine Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliances were dispatched to the scene, as well as paramedics and police officers.The driver was safely removed from the car and handed into the care of NHS staff.Nine passengers on the train were then taken off the train, with ScotRail confirming the line was closed this morning as the car was removed from harm's way.A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 6.26am on Saturday August 15 to reports of a collision between a car and a train.“Operations control sent nine appliances in total to Janefield Avenue, Johnstone.
