ITV has 'entered talks' to 'reboot' the popular noughties singing competition Pop Idol in 2023.TV Zone and Super TV have reported that ITV have expressed an interest in the format of the show, and earlier this week they allegedly entered talks for a special reboot with a group of executives.Original creator Simon Fuller was reportedly involved in the talks with ITV.Reports say that a TV special could potentially air in the autumn of 2023, which will commemorate 20 years since it was last on our screens.ITV has since told Daily Star directly that "absolutely nothing is confirmed" but added that "it would be unlikely to return as a full series" – which still gives fans hope for an epic spin-off.Pop Idol was created by Simon Fuller and fronted by Ant & Dec on ITV from 2001 to 2003.The judging panel was headed up by Neil Fox, Nicki Chapman, Pete Waterman and Simon Cowell, and all four judges featured on the 46 episodes that were broadcast over the two series' that were aired.In 2004 Simon Cowell distanced himself from Pop Idol in order to pursue The X Factor – a show that last aired in 2019 and has no plans to relaunch.TV Zone has said that the series "has not yet been formerly commissioned from ITV, and host(s) and judges are to be confirmed" adding that ITV didn't deny anything when they approached the broadcasting corporation.Pop Idol was an iconic talent contest in the early noughties and is responsible for the fame gained by the likes of Will Young and Gareth Gates.The first series of the show saw Will and Gareth battle it out for the coveted title, with Will winning the show and Gareth coming second. Polyarc, has sat down with NME to discuss the studio’s upcoming VR game, Moss: Book 2.Now that Polyarc has confirmed that Moss: Book 2 is set to launch on March 31, the team has been able to share a bit more on what it’s been working on.In a preview of the game viewed by members of the press, the game was revealed to be a fair bit less linear than its predecessor, and – in Metroidvania fashion – some areas will require items gained later in the game to access.On the decision to open up the world of Moss a bit more, Stiksma shared that “this was a big goal for us. We know that the world in Moss One was very much “I can go to this chapter, play this chapter,” and that’s it.

Polyarc has announced that VR title Moss: Book 2 will launch in just a few weeks, meaning fans won’t have long to wait before picking up Quill’s tale once again.Today (March 17) it was revealed that Moss: Book 2 will launch on March 31.A sequel to VR adventure game Moss: Book 1, the second game will follow a mouse named Quill as she tries to overthrow the Arcane and save the world.The game will launch on PS4 and PS5, however since it’s a VR title, a suitable headset will be required to play.Ahead of launch, NME was able to sit down with Polyarc’s Josh Stiksma, the game’s principle engineer and design director, to discuss what fans can expect from the sequel.According to Stiksma, Moss: Book 2 will be less linear than the first game, and players will be encouraged to return to previous areas they have explored to unlock new routes.The game will also include “quite a lot of environments to explore”, which Stiksma shared would include “a lot of variation” for players to find.Stiksma also added that Moss: Book 2 was a chance for the team at Polyarc to build upon certain things it liked about the first game.“We wanted to have more varied types of interactions as you go through the game, and then one of the things we really wanted to do is try to tell a bit more of the story in the world versus just strictly in the book,” explained Stiksma.
