The Youtube sensation, 25, was invited on the American talk show at the start of the year to discuss her decision to come out as transgender to her fans and has detailed how her expectation of being on the hit series differed to the reality.
The make-up guru shared her thoughts during an interview with Dutch magazine &C where she detailed that meeting her "idol" Ellen, 62, and dubbed the show "Teletubbies after dark." Nikkie told: "Maybe I'm being naive, but I expected them to welcome me with confetti: 'Welcome to The Ellen DeGeneres Show!' "But instead I got greeted by an angry intern, who was a bit overworked.
