Ellen DeGeneres has said that her wife Portia de Rossi has been her "rock" during her recent hard year. Last year, The Ellen DeGeneres Show was accused of being a toxic workplace by former and current employees involved in the production.

Ellen, 63, herself was accused of fostering the situation, and she later apologised following an internal investigation in a monologue at the front of her show.

The comedian and presenter promised to create a workplace where "everyone would be treated with respect." Now speaking to PEOPLE magazine for their first annual Love issue, Ellen revealed how her wife Portia, 48, supported her through the crisis.
