Ellen Burstyn is returning to the Law & Order franchise. The 88-year-old actress is set to reprise her role as Bernadette Stabler, Detective Elliot Stabler’s mother on Law & Order: Organized Crime. Bernadette appeared in an episode of SVU’s season 10, when she appeared after her granddaughter, Kathleen, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
She was seen having conversations with both Elliot and Olivia, and viewers learned she was diagnosed as bipolar. Ellen won a Guest Actress Emmy for her SVU performance.
