UFC hero Conor McGregor has vowed to fight "embarrassing s*** stain" Islam Makhachev when he returns to the octagon. McGregor, 33, has been out of action since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout last summer.
But the Irishman has been working hard in the gym and is expected to make his return to UFC in the next few months.Several names have been touted as possible comeback opponents for McGregor, including lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.However, with Oliveira set to defend his belt against Justin Gaethje in May, the Notorious may have to look elsewhere.
Another option could be Makhachev, a pal of McGregor's old rival Khabib Nurmagomedov who also happens to be in the title conversation after defeating Bobby Green last week.
McGregor, not one to keep his opinions to himself, was far from impressed with Makhachev's performance against Green and suggested a possible fight between the pair, calling the Dagestan brawler a "s*** stain."McGregor said on Twitter: "I’ll fight that s*** stain [Makhachev], no sweat.
