The Emmy-, BAFTA-, and Tony award-winning actress began her career on the stage, joining the Royal Shakespeare Company in the late 1950s just two years after making her stage debut — and a decade before crossing the pond to appear in her first Broadway production.
In the intervening years, Rigg would also launch her decades-long film and TV career, appearing in a series of British and American television projects beginning in the '60s.
Starring in countless projects, the actress is well-known for her roles as the biting Olenna Tyrell in HBO's hit fantasy adaptation Game of Thrones,as Emma Peel in the ITV and ABC spy.
