David Warner, a versatile actor whose career spanned six decades with roles on stage, television and film, has died aged 80. The RADA-trained performer played leading roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company with his 1965 Hamlet described as “the epitome of 1960s youth”.  The young actor also appeared opposite Helen Mirren and Diana Rigg in the 1968 film of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Patricia Brake, who is best known for her roles in BBC sitcom Porridge and ITV drama Manhunt, has died aged 79 after being diagnosed with cancer, her family has said.

Game Of Thrones, died in 2020 just after her final project was completed.Her daughter, actress Rachael Stirling, recently appeared on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch alongside fellow guests Louise Redknapp, Claudia Jessie and Ricky Wilson, and hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.Rachael’s career path closely reflects her mothers after she began acting 26 years ago.Diana was a Bond girl who also starred in 60s television series The Avengers, 1997’s Rebecca and Doctor Who alongside her daughter.Aged 82, she died of cancer in September 2020.According to the Daily Mail, Diana left Rachael upwards of £3 million after she died as she inherited a large chunk of her estate, valued at £3,368,886 and which are believed to be properties in France and the United States.Along with Rachael’s inheritance, Diana generously left £5,000 to a beautician from her local nail salon while £280,500 went to her family and charity organisations.These included Great Ormond Street Hospital and St Christopher’s Hospice who both received £50,000 each.After Diana’s death, Rachael wrote a touching tribute in The Observer for her mother back in October, which detailed the pair’s struggle before she passed.Through her mother’s illness, Rachael became her carer and said that they had a “traumatic” time living together after she was diagnosed with cancer.“We didn’t always get on. There was enormous love but it was a painful relationship for both of us at times.

Last Night In Soho, the nostalgic sinister feature from director Edgar Wright, has won Best Film at the BandLab NME Awards 2022.The film beat out Licorice Pizza, Promising Young Woman, Sound Of Metal, and The Harder They Fall for the award.Ahead of presenting the award, Stath Lets Flats star and creator Jamie Demetriou said: “I’m incredibly hammered from all the rock music!”He added: “When we think of film, we think of storytelling. When I think of film, I think of the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”“Thank you so much, this is such a nice surprise,” director Edgar Wright said on the podium while collecting the award alongside the film’s star Michael Ajao.

1960s Soho, London comes back to life in Edgar Wright’s Last Night in Soho. You can’t visit without paying a price though, as Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie) finds out in the period psychological thriller.

Last Night In Soho co-writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns has defended the film’s twist ending, saying that it was an act of “female empowerment.”Wilson-Cairns wrote the screenplay for the film with director Edgar Wright, which includes a surprising reveal in the film’s final chapter.Ahead of the twist, Thomasin McKenzie’s character Eloise believes that she has seen a vision of Sandy – an abused cabaret singer who she occasionally embodies in her dreams – being murdered by her pimp in the very room that she lives in today.However, it transpires that Sandy is in fact not dead, and instead lives on as Eloise’s landlady, played by the late Diana Rigg.
