Dustin Poirier has dismissed concerns he struggled to cut down to the lightweight limit for his rematch with Conor McGregor.
As there is no title on the line this weekend, the former interim champion was permitted to scale 156lb - one pound lighter than McGregor who opted to weigh in at championship weight.
And while McGregor shouted: "155lb, that's championship weight" as he stepped off the scale, one fan tweeted: "Am I the only one who thinks Poirier looks like he’s had a terrible weight cut?" But the American quickly responded by saying: "Haha, I'm good!
Walked out the sauna straight to the scale. Was still a little overheated." Poirier has been campaigning at lightweight since his defeat by McGregor in 2014.
