Fishing lines are being used to deliver drugs to inmates at a Salford prison.Contraband items have been thrown into the grounds of Forest Bank, in the Agecroft area of Pendlebury and collected by prisoners, police have said.This comes after the latest figures reveal drugs were found at Forest Bank 654 times last year – the third highest of any prison in England and Wales.The "sophisticated" methods deployed by inmates to illegally import the items include using fishing lines, according to Chief Inspector Tom Martin.He said: “There have been challenges at Forest Bank prison where we’ve witnessed numerous occasions where people outside the prison have thrown items into the prison grounds with a view to those contraband items, including drugs,.
