assassin loyal to Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán's sons has been found dismembered and stuffed inside a steel barrel. The grisly discovery was made in Aquiles Serdán, Chihuahua, Mexico last Wednesday (June 1) after a call to the emergency services.Local police rushed to the scene and confirmed the report before requesting support from the State Attorney General's Office.Borderland Beat reports that the drug cartel hitman's body parts were wrapped inside black bags before being shoved inside the barrel.

There was also a message written on cardboard found alongside the corpse. Although authorities haven't released the full contents of the message, it did refer to "Chapitos" - suggesting that the body belonged to a member of a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel, still loyal to El Chapo's children following his arrest in 2016.

The body was subsequently removed while police gathered evidence from the scene.Four of El Chapo's sons - Joaquín Guzmán López, Ovidio Guzmán López, Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar - continue to run a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel known as Los Chapitos.
