MOTORISTS are being warned of the dangers of coasting after a survey revealed 45 per cent of Brits use the driving technique.Coasting is where someone drives with their foot pressed down on the clutch or the gear stick in neutral in an attempt to save petrol.But many drivers will be surprised to learn that this is a misconception – and they could end up with hefty fines and penalty points for not being properly in control of their cars.
