Tesla has announced that it will no longer allow drivers to use their cars' touchscreens to play video games whilst the cars are in motion.This decision comes following an investigation by federal safety regulators in the US.A statement from a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) spokesperson said: "In a new software update, 'Passenger Play' will now be locked and unusable when the vehicle is in motion."Prior to December 2020, 'Passenger Play' was only enabled when the vehicle was parked, but that was changed and the feature could be engaged at any time from that date, CNN reports.While 'Passenger Play's' name suggests it was intended to be played by passengers, nothing prevented drivers from also playing while the car was.
