Buckingham Palace aides have told how doctors face an uphill struggle in preventing the Queen from attending a Remembrance Day parade - despite being told to rest on health grounds.
Yesterday, it was reported the monarch has been ordered to rest for two weeks after recently spending a night in hospital for ‘preliminary investigations’.
The decision meant the 95-year-old is unable to attend the COP26 climate change summit, which will kick off in Glasgow tomorrow.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace also confirmed the Queen will not be able to attend a Remembrance event on November 13.However, she plans on being present for a National Service of Remembrance on Remembrance Sunday the day after.
