There are 'severe delays' on the Metrolink this morning with one line fully suspended due to a fault on the overhead line. Commuters have been warned of disruption on most lines this morning due to the issue.
The Trafford Park line has been fully suspended, with tickets being accepted on local buses. According to the Metrolink website, there are also severe delays on the Altrincham, Bury, East Didsbury, Eccles via MediaCityUK and Rochdale via Oldham lines.
Service changes are in place on the Altrincham-Bury line with tickets and passes accepted on the 95, 97, 98, 135 and 524 bus services. They said the damage to overhead lines means fewer trams can run from the Queens Road Depot than normal. The tweet said: "Due to an overhead line fault, there is limited service on the Bury line and no service on the Trafford Park line. "Tickets are accepted on 18, 95, 97, 98, 135, X50, 250 and 524 bus services.
