Lana Del Rey‘s father Rob Grant has shared a second preview of his debut album – listen to ‘Poetry Of Wind And Waves’ below.As announced last month, Grant will release debut album ‘Lost At Sea’ on June 9 via Decca Records. The album will feature Lana herself – real name Lizzie Grant – on the album’s title track and another song called ‘Hollywood Bowl’, while its first preview came in the form of ‘Setting Sail On A Distant Horizon’.Discussing its follow-up, ‘Poetry Of Wind And Waves’, Grant said in a statement: “The ‘Poetry Of Wind and Waves’ is a song about the rhythm of the ocean… and the hypnotic beauty of the waves as they rise and fall. When I composed this piece I was in the studio in LA, playing a beautiful concert grand..The studio was intimate and dark with soft ambient light.“I imagined myself alone on a beach with a gentle wind blowing and the sound of the waves whispering around me.

William Earl The Killers, Kendrick Lamar, Odesza, Khalid and the 1975 are among the notable performers set for the Life Is Beautiful festival that takes over downtown Las Vegas in September. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Omar Apollo, Kim Petras, FLUME, Nelly and Bebe Rexha are also lined up to play the 10th anniversary edition of the music and arts festival. Las Vegas mainstays such as Cirque du Soleil, Blue Man Group, Jabbawockeez, Magic Mike Live, Piff the Magic Dragon and Tape Face will also be on hand for performances and appearances. As usual, the fest will showcase a slew of buzzy and rising star acts across its Sept. 22-24 run. “We are thrilled that all three headliners will be returning to the festival. Of course she was going to honor the opening day of release for her friend Lana Del Rey’s new album by performing the song that the two of them wrote together for Swift’s most recent album. But before she did that, Swift gave Del Rey’s Friday release, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” all the “promo” that a fellow artist could ask for, calling it “brilliant” and urging the approximately 60,000 fans gathered at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium to stream or buy the new album.

Because absolutely nothing could surpass the mic drop of her placing the sole billboard announcing the new project in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the hometown of a fairly recent ex-boyfriend, in what could only be seen as a clever combination of extreme advertising narrowcasting and baller performance art. But if “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.” had to come in as a runner-up to that, it’s a very, very, very close second. It might even count as her masterpiece to date, among her non-billboard-related work. The word “might” is advisable because claims to that kind of superiority can only be made after a lot of time and repeat listens have passed, of course, and “Ocean Blvd.” is such a dense set of songs to take in that your immediate response to its 16 songs might be to rise for a standing ovation… and then think that maybe you’ll need a week to rest before you settle in for a second and third listen, this time with a whole Internet’s worth of Cliff Notes. The album is likely to wear you out — at least it will if you’re consuming it as confessional songwriting, in bulk, and not just aural wallpaper — but it’s a happy exhaustion.

South Park co-creator Trey Parker is set to direct a live-action comedy film produced by Kendrick Lamar, according to reports.The untitled collaboration between Lamar and South Park creators Parker and Matt Stone was announced last year, who were all producing the project with the rapper’s longtime manager Dave Free.According to Above The Line, Parker will now direct the film himself, from a script written by South Park producer Vernon Chatman.Production on the project was supposed to begin in spring last year, but it’s claimed Parker’s commitments to South Park pushed the schedule back to an unknown date.As per the initial announcement, the comedy film “will see the past and present coming to a head when a young Black man who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his”.Speaking about the project, Brian Robbins, president and CEO of Paramount Pictures, said: “On behalf of Paramount Pictures and the wider ViacomCBS family, we look forward to ushering in the first theatrical collaboration from these creative visionaries, and galvanizing audiences worldwide around a powerful storytelling experience.”South Park is currently in its 26th season, which recently attracted attention through an episode that parodied Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.Lamar is set to headline festivals Outside Lands, Roskilde and Open’Er later this year, which comes after the release of his fifth studio album ‘Mr.
